TRANSFORMABLE WARDROBE

FILM MADE IN COLLABORATION WITH MATHIAS KRUSE JØRGENSEN

With this project, I set out to investigate how to create clothing in transformation - clothing changing shape from one to another.

I have for a long time wanted to address;

'What is more than clothing?'

Should we maybe have other expectations to clothing, then we have today? The theme Transformable Wardrobe therefore aims to add another layer to clothing as we know it and to investigate how to give clothing more life through this transformation. The collection incorporates everyday life objects into the context of clothing. I have selected three objects - roller blinds, umbrellas and slap wraps. These makes the clothing able to transform from one shape to another.

The result of the project is eight transformable products for the body, seven uniforms, accessories and a fashion film.

The fashion film aims to tell the story of how we, as users, are influenced by our products. The film has three main characters each in a different uniform meeting their transformable product.

The project tries to challenge our expectations to clothing and what we should expect from our future products.
